This blog, now in hiatus, was an effort to keep members and friends of Temple Baptist Church, Ruston, La., informed about the church’s outreach through hands-on mission efforts. The blog was maintained by Eddie Blick.

Thank you for your blog. My husband and I have recently started attending Temple and it always encouraging to see an active missions department.
Also extremely encouraging since my sister and her husband have been leaders for Cru in Hungary since 1986, family in Philippines since 1957, and cousins now leaders to unreached people groups of south east Asia.
    My God bless you!

Thanks for writing; I appreciate your comment.

Temple has had a strong emphasis on missions for a long time, but the focus has increased in recent years, as mission teams have been sent to a number of sites in the United States and other countries, in addition to increasing financial support of missions through the Cooperative Program and the Georgia Barnette, Annie Armstrong, and Lottie Moon special offerings each year.

My wife and I have been members of Temple since 1990, and we really appreciate the church in many ways. If I can help you in any way, feel free to contact me (eddieblick@gmail.com).
