Week of Prayer, Day 6–Canada

AA logo (smaller)A church planter from South Africa is using hockey as one way of reaching Canadians for Christ. Victor Thomas reached university students like Kyle and Chantel Meeking, who are featured in the video clip below. They, in turn, use their interest in hockey to attract other hockey fans, then share Christ with them.

The Victor Thomas family

Victor’s ministry grew into The Point community church, which started as a university church but has grown to reach to reach communities in the Vancouver, British Columbia, area, where more than 90 percent of the people are unsaved. You can help God’s work in Vancouver and other areas served by the North American Mission Board by praying for them and by giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.

Pray for:

    • more partners to answer God’s call to assist The Point in reaching the lost in Vancouver and
    • a new outreach and church plant in the least-reached areas of Coquitlam.
