Epic Church in downtown San Francisco, Calif., is a new, thriving Southern Baptist congregation. It reaches people from more than 30 countries to share the reality of God’s kingdom with those from all walks of life. The church’s website points out: “We believe that we all have a part to play in what God is doing in the world. We would love for you to come alongside of us and be a part of what’s going on here.” People in the neighborhood can participate in person. Those who live elsewhere can participate through prayer and through giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.
Ben Pilgreen, Epic Church’s lead pastor, is a former atheist who now serves God as a church planter working with the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Led by God, he and his family moved to San Francisco to reach people for Christ. The ministry that began with cookouts at their home grew into Epic Church, as you will see when you watch the video clip below.
