In a time of increasing diversity of people groups in America, one way of taking the Gospel to all nations is to minister to ethnic groups in the United States. As a church planter in Philadelphia, Pa., Peter Yanes helps to start churches and mentor church planters. Peter is a missionary under the auspices of the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. He works with concerned Christians like Noel Geniza (featured in the video below) to start churches in Philadelphia and the seven counties surrounding the city.
Peter accepted Christ as his Savior in the Philippines, his native country. Now he and his family serve the Lord in the United States. You can help support Peter and other North American missionaries by giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and by praying for them. Specifically, you can pray that:
- more established churches will partner with ethnic church planters, reaching all nations for Christ and
- the more than 40 existing ethnic churches in the Philadelphia area will get involved in church planting through prayers, partnerships and sending people.
