‘What can one church … do?’

During December each year, Southern Baptists traditionally focus on the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering as a way of supporting mission work through the International Mission Board. If you will, take 3 1/2 minutes to watch the video at www.imb.org/main/downloads/flashvideos.asp?mvid=15559&mvidext=mp4. You will hear several international missionaries talk about the importance of God’s work in countries around the world — being lights in the darkness.

In the video, a pastor from North Carolina asks, “What can one church in North Carolina do?” We can apply the same question to Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, La. We can’t all go in person on missions like Temple’s teams that go to South Asia. We can, however, pray and give as the Lord leads us to support the work of IMB missionaries.
