Concord Union team active in south Louisiana

Rev. Barry Joyner, director of missions for Concord Union Baptist Association, works with a group of children a block party with Des Allemands Baptist Church.

Missions Coordinator John King sent word this morning of the success Concord Union Baptist Association’s mission team is having in southern Louisiana. As he put it: “Things have been going well. We’ve really been all over the map.” The group’s activities have included block parties at Trinity Baptist Church, Matthews; Des Allemands Baptist Church and MLK Park in Thibodaux. Two more block parties are scheduled, one in Gibson and one at another park in Thibodaux.

Vacation Bible Schools are being held at at Trinity Baptist Church, Matthews; Des Allemands Baptist Church and Gibson Baptist Church, and backyard Bible clubs have been active in two parks in Thibodaux. Meanwhile, the group’s construction team has been painting inside and outside University Baptist Church in Thibodaux.

Please keep these folks in your prayers as they continue their ministries and as they travel back to Ruston this weekend.
