Medical professionals needed to help with disasters

Here is more information related to the post below about disaster relief training.

For the first time, training provided by Rolling Hills Ministries in cooperation with the Louisiana Baptist Convention will offer a session specifically for medical professionals.

David Abernathy, director of Rolling Hills Ministries,  said the group is looking for medical professionals “to be a part of Medical Support Teams that can respond during times of Southern Baptist disaster activations.  This certification lasts for three years.  The course is for those who are a doctor, RN, dentist, pharmacist, paramedic, etc.”

Abernathy added: “Dr. Charles Rogers from Boyce, La., is leading the seminar. Dr. Rogers has extensive experience in this area, having recently led a medical team to Haiti. This training will not only be beneficial during times of disaster, but will also be helpful when you respond on church medical mission trips.”

For more information see the Rolling Hills Disaster Training Flyer, call 318-251-0065 or send email to rollinghills33@bellsouth.netThe deadline for making reservations is Wednesday, May 11.
